Buhari Meets King Charles At Buckingham Palace (Photos)

The new monarch of the United Kingdom, King Charles III on Wednesday hosted the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari at Buckingham Palace in London.

Pictures from the meeting of President Buhari with the King were shared by media aides of the Nigerian President.

President Buhari who left Nigeria for England on the 31st of October, 2022 for a routine medical checkup was seen in one of the pictures shaking the former Prince of Wales.

Buhari on Wednesday also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Godfrey Onyeama, the Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK, Sarafa Ishola, and other officials.

King Charles Escapes Being Hit With Eggs

King Charles III and his wife Queen Consort Camilla during a visit to northern England on Wednesday, escaped being hit with eggs.

An aggrieved protester had attempted to throw the eggs at them which landed near them during a walkabout in York before they were ushered away by minders.

A man in footage shared by the British media was heard shouting “this country was built on the blood of slaves” and “not my king”.

He was eventually detained by several police officers.

According to reporters at the scene, the protester also booed the royal couple before he threw the eggs at them.
