The source explained that lots of properties were burnt before the intervention of the Nasarawa State Fire Service officials, adding that the fire wasn’t totally quenched until about 7 am this morning.

The eye witness also disclosed that more than seven tailoring shops in the plaza was burnt down to ashes.

The eyewitness said: “The fire began around 1 am on Tuesday morning. It burnt properties worth millions of naira before the fire service people came.

“They still could not completely put out the fire until 7 am this morning when they sent some more firefighters to the place.

“More than seven shops were affected. A tailoring shop, a boutique, a solar shop and other big businesses were burnt to ashes.
