The English Premier League has announced that the 2023–24 league campaign will kick off on August 12, and be concluded on May 28.

The Premier League season is expected to begin less than 32 days after the Champions League Final, and it is also anticipated to end a few weeks before Euro 2024.

After three seasons of disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the World Cup taking place in Qatar this winter, the schedule is seen as restoring normalcy to the traditional Premier League season dates.

Players who are involved in the Champions League final on June 1, 2024, at Wembley will have less than two weeks to rest for Euro 2024, which kicks off on June 14, while those who are not will have four weeks.

The start date of August 12 will give clubs seven weeks from the end of the postseason international break on June 20.

The Champions League final on June 10 takes place eight weeks prior to the start date, so they will be even further time to rest from the final Premier League weekend.

This might make it possible for clubs to go on valuable preseason trips, which have been difficult in recent seasons.

Following the postponement of Euro 2020 by a year, 2021-22 began on August 14 before this season began on August 6.

On May 19, during the league’s final Gameweek, all games will begin at the same time.

There is also the mid-season break in the winter, which runs from January 13 to January 20.

On Sunday, May 28, the current Premier League season will come to an end.
