Nigeria International, Alex Iwobi, is keen to sign a long-term deal with the Premier League outfit, Everton.

Naija News recalls that Iwobi has two years left on his deal with the Toffees after moving from Arsenal to Goodison Park in 2019.

According to reports, Iwobi and his agent have begun negotiating the parameters of a new deal with Everton.

Whereas, his manager, Frank Lampard has also confirmed that the Super Eagles’ midfielder who has been on top of his game for the Merseyside club this season will be getting a new contract negotiation.

Reports claim that 26-year-old is expected to sign a new five-year deal with Everton in the coming weeks.

The Nigerian has said that continuing to be a member of Lampaard’s team is his first objective.

Iwobi, while speaking to the ECHO, said, “I want to win as many things as I can with this club. That is why I came here, the club was very ambitious and it still is. I’d like to stay,” 

Iwobi, along with Vitali Mykolenko, James Tarkowski, and Demarai Gray, is the only four players to have started each of Everton’s 13 games this season in the Premier League.

He has one goal which he scored against Manchester United, and six assists to his credit.
