Some Western Countries Harbouring IPOB Despite Its Terrorist Organization Status - Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has boasted about his strong political structure in his state of origin, Kwara.

Naija News reports that the minister while in his hometown, Oro near Ilorin the Kwara state capital said his political structure in the state can not be sunk simply because of disagreements with other political associates.

He said regardless of the crisis and misunderstanding in the Kwara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), nothing would happen to the structure he has built over 20 years in politics because it has stood the test of time.

Mohammed, who spoke at the traditional marriage of his granddaughter, Dr Toyosi to Gbolahan Sambo said he wasn’t too surprised that his supporters and allies were still loyal to him, adding that it’s an indication that his structure politically remained intact.

The minister was reported to have said “My political structure cannot be torpedoed because of disagreement.

“That is the essence of political structure: when you are strong enough to weather the storm that will necessarily come up, especially when it is time to vie for political offices.’’

According to him, he was happy that the media present at the occasion noticed how his political associates and loyalist in the state flooded his hometown to honour him at the event.

He advanced that “I am glad you noticed that I have here today the same people I have been working with within the last 20 years politically in Kwara.

“Though they tried to pluck me away from them, we interact regularly and we have almost become a family.

“I am not surprised even though I am delighted that they turned out in their numbers today to share with me the joy of this occasion.

“What this means fundamentally is that there is no difference politically between me and them and they still regard me as one of their leaders and I still regard them as my associates,’’ the minister said.
