Freedom For Nnamdi Kanu Is A Condition For Peace In The South East - Ogah

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma for working against the release of its leader Nnamdi Kanu.

Naija News reports that the group in a statement had accused Uzodinma of conspiring with the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami against the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The group in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, alleged that Uzodinma was the one who advised Federal Government against Kanu’s release.

Powerful, while stating the group’s position about the decision of the southeast governors’ to form another security outfit, said IPOB condemns the action, adding that instead of forming a new outfit, they should support its security outfit, Eastern Security Network (ESN).

IPOB recalled that the southeast governors’ should remember that their insistence to form Ebubeagu militias, has resulted in killer squads.

The IPOB publicity secretary, who noted that Kanu, when released would help to stop insecurity in the region submitted that “The intelligence reports available to our authorities said that Hope Uzodinma advised the Federal Government not to release Mazi Nnamdi KANU. We want to assure the public that once our leader is released he will help to stop the criminality going on in all the troubled zones in Biafra, especially in Imo State.

“People should ask Hope Uzodinma why is he afraid of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s unconditional release from DSS custody.

“It is clear to all and sundry that once our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU regains his freedom many sponsored criminalities going on in the East will stop because he is the man that ALL our people respect,’’ Powerful added.
