The University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), University of Ibadan (UI), University of Lagos (UNILAG), University of Ilorin and Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta were among forty-eight Nigerian universities in this year’s top World University Rankings.

The varsity Don noted that in the 2023 ranking, 48 Nigerian universities were cumulatively listed among the world’s best in 11 subjects/disciplines.

Naija News reports that Okebukola made the disclosure in Abuja on Wednesday hailing the superlative performance of Nigerian universities in the Times Higher Education 2023 Subject Rankings that were released the previous day.

Okebukola listed the subjects/disciplines as arts and humanities; business and economics, education; law; social sciences; computer science; engineering; clinical and health; life sciences; physical sciences and psychology.

The varsity don, however, noted that no state university made it to the top ranking.
