The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, had said that he is overwhelmed after seeing a Nigerian man climbed to the top of mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to hoist the party’s flag.

Naija News reports that a supporter of the Obidients movement identified as @OGersh on Twitter had shared a photo of himself on the Africa’s iconic mountain hoisting a Labour party flag.

The man took the risk of climbing to the Uhuru peak, which is the highest point of the mountain as show of love the LP candidate.

Reacting to the development via his verified Twitter page, Obi said the many acts of the Obidients (slang used to identified LP supporters) reassured him of their patriotism and desire to return Nigeria to good.

“I am always overwhelmed by the show of love and support from the OBIdients in Nigeria and Diaspora. Your many acts of sacrifices reassure me of your patriotism and flaming desire to take back your country for good.

“Thank you @OGersh for taking our OBIdient message to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. It must have been a tough journey going up there for a noble sacrifice. I assure you and every Nigerian that under my watch, Nigeria will regain its position as the pride of Africa.

“It may be a tough journey, but we are not stopping, till we get to the top,” Obi tweeted.
