2023: Atiku Ends Speculations, Takes Campaign To US

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is reportedly in the United States (US) to further his electioneering campaign ahead of the 2023 polls.

This ends further speculations that the former Vice President cannot freely visit the North American country.

Naija News recalls that Atiku, in 2018, amidst a series of speculations that he is wanted in the US, visited the country in the company of the former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, alongside other notable individuals.

Today, ahead of the 2023 general elections, Atiku commenced a weeklong campaign tour of the US, where he would be meeting Nigerians and business communities to discuss important matters.

Atiku would be meeting with Nigerians in Diaspora and the PDP members in North America as part of his programmes and engagements while in the US.

The presidential candidate is also expected to meet with business leaders from the country who are based in the US and later meet with young Nigerian professionals in the diaspora, among others.

Atiku commenced his electioneering campaign three weeks ago in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. It was followed by the Kaduna campaign, and last Saturday had another campaign in Benin, the Edo State capital.

The PDP presidential candidate is expected to return to Nigeria on Monday and by Tuesday, November 1, 2022, continue his state-to-state presidential campaign rally, starting with Ekiti State.

Stop Your Campaign Of Calumny Against Waziri Adamawa – Atiku Group Fires Ortom 

Atiku Support Organisation, a support group of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday asked Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State to stop his campaign of calumny against the former Vice President.

In a statement made available to newsmen yesterday, the National Publicity Secretary of the group, Victor Moses, urged Ortom to stop the misrepresentation of the essential values of the PDP flagbearer.

The support group made this assertion in response to the governor’s comment that Atiku is an agent of Miyetti Allah and was working against the interests of the Benue people.

According to the organisation, Atiku is not an ethnic bigot and has built bridges across the country, adding that he would unite Nigeria and be President for all Nigerians if voted in as President in the 2023 elections.

The organisation stressed that the Benue governor had said kind words about the former vice president and his vision to build Nigeria and asserted that Ortom’s latest comment only suggests a deliberate campaign of calumny and misinformation.
