EPL: Cristiano Ronaldo Returns To Training After Showdown Talk With Erik Ten Hag

Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has resumed first-team training following a clear-the-air talk with Manchester United Manager, Erik Ten Hag.

According to earlier reports via pictures from Daily Mail, Cristiano Ronaldo drove to Carrington on Tuesday with his Dutch manager to talk about the next steps after being prohibited from training with the first team and travelling to Stamford Bridge with them.

After their 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Saturday, Ten Hag and Ronaldo held frank discussions, with a positive outcome.

Naija News recalls that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been training since being dropped from the first-team list for turning down a substitute appearance last week against Tottenham.

During their 2-0 victory over Spurs on Wednesday, The Portuguese forward stormed down the tunnel at Old Trafford before the full-time whistle after rejecting a request to continue with five minutes remaining.

Ten Hag has been eager to reintegrate Ronaldo but first desired to know if he was sincere in his regret for declining to enter as a substitute.

After the heated discussion with the former Ajax coach, a picture of Ronaldo and his teammates smiling was uploaded via the club’s official Instagram page.
