”I’m still buzzing to be honest"- Troost-Ekong Speaks On His Performance Against Luton Town

Nigerian international, William Troost-Ekong is feeling upbeat after netting his first goal for Watford this season.

The Nigerian defender was on target for his club during the Sky Bet Championship match against Luton Town at the Vicarage Road

Just before halftime, the Super Eagles player scored from close range after Keinan Davis had given the Hornets the lead.

Additional goals for Slaven Bilic’s team came from forwards Joao Pedro and Senegal’s Ismaila.

After the victory, Troost-Ekong stated on the club’s official website: ”I’m still buzzing to be honest; the adrenaline is still going and it’s everything we wanted from the game today,”

“It’s a party in the dressing room at the moment. We spoke about a lot of things this morning when we all got together. We said, guys, there’s no more time to talk, it’s time for action.

“It was amazing [to score]. I felt a bit lost when it went in and I didn’t know what to do with the celebration, but I was just buzzing. All goals count, I think I was about half a meter away and put it into the roof of the net – I almost put it over!”

For Watford this season, the Nigerian has made six league game appearances and started five.
