Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has been subjected to mockery on social media by a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri.

This is as Omokri on Sunday took to his Twitter handle to pledge a donation of loaves of bread to support Obi’s presidential campaign, Naija News reports.

Omokri who is a devoted supporter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, said on the microblogging platform that he was aware that the LP presidential candidate launched a website to solicit donations from Nigerians for his campaign.

In that regard, he demanded an address to deliver his donation to Obi as he cannot upload the loaves of bread on the website reportedly created by the former Governor of Anambra State.

“Peter Obi launched a website to solicit for donations from Nigerians for his campaign. Please can anyone close to Peter inform him that I have 24 loaves of bread to donate to his campaign? Since I can’t upload them to his site, can I get an address to send it to?” Omokri tweeted.

Meanwhile, the controversial author had earlier said “If it is true that Peter Obi actually donated 24 loaves of bread to flood victims, then I really don’t know what to say. Here is a man who boasted that he is richer than Joe Biden. Perhaps it is better not to donate than to donate 24 loaves of bread”.

“48 hours after I challenged Obidients to name on infrastructure Peter Obi built as Anambra Governor to mitigate floods, I am still waiting. I only saw insults from them. Anambra gets flooded each year. A prudent Governor would have built anti flood infrastructure”, Omokri said in a different post.

Buhari’s Aide Reacts As Peter Obi Donates 24 Loaves Of Bread, Indomie To Hundreds Of Flood Victims

Earlier on Sunday, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Digital Communications, Bashir Ahmad, took to Twitter to mock Peter Obi over his donation to victims of floods in Anambra State.

Naija News reports that Obi had earlier taken to his verified Twitter account to publicize some items he donated to victims o floods in Ogbaru areas of Anambra State where he was a former Governor.

The list of items shown in the photos shared by the presidential candidate includes 24 loaves of bread, bags of rice, Indomie noodles, a generator, and other items.

Reacting, however, to Obi’s donation which has generated a barrage of reactions across the internet, Ahmad tweeted: “Wow. Four bags of rice, 14 cartons of Indomie noodles, around 50 set of blankets, 24 loaves of bread, a generator among other unverified stuff donated to thousands of families affected by floods in Anambra by a former governor of the state and a current presidential candidate.”

Naija News understands that Ahmad’s tweet has received hundreds of comments, some of which questioned his actions while some supported his mockery of Obi.
