2023: Lalong Hints At APC Strategy To Win 2023 Presidency For Tinubu

The Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has said his party would focus on issue-based campaigns ahead of the 2023 elections.

He said the APC would not join other political parties in propaganda and falsehood but would rather focus on projecting its candidate, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima based on their achievements while in previous political offices.

Lalong submitted that by so doing, Nigerians would be convinced on why they should vote for the APC instead of other political parties.

The Plateau State Governor also emphasized that the achievements of the Muhammadu Buhari administration would go a long way in helping the APC’s fortune in 2023.

Naija News reports he made the submission on Friday in Abuja during the inauguration of the APC presidential campaign council and PCC and the unveiling of the action plan/manifesto of its presidential candidate.

In his words, “Our campaigns will therefore be issue-based and devoid of propaganda or falsehood. We shall tell the electorate what our party has done and also remind them of the enviable records set by our Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima during their previous assignments. They have demonstrated the capacity, experience, composure, exposure and acceptance to take Nigeria to greater heights from May 29th 2023.

“While others spend their valuable time addressing personalities and other frivolities, let us stay with the mission and vision of our candidate and the party, as encapsulated in the Action Plan. This singular focus will enable us deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.”

While expressing optimism that the APC would emerge victorious at the polls, Lalong called on all party stakeholders to unite and work together at all levels.
