The Peoples Demoratic Party (PDP) has slammed Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for endorsing his Lagos State counterpart, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for a second term.
Naija News reported that the Rivers governor had endorsed his Lagos counterpart for a second term over the PDP’s governorship candidate, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.
In an interview on Arise News on Wednesday night, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Olugunagba, said the party would probe Wike’s recent political activities and appropriately decide on the next line of action.
The PDP spokesman pointed out that the endorsement of Sanwo-Olu for second term by Wik may be described as an anti-party activity.
Ologunagba stated that the PDP has internal processes, rules and regulations that guide its activities and operations, adding that no member is bigger than the party.
He, however, maintained that PDP and its decision making organ will appropriately decide on what to do after its findings.
Wike’s endorsement of Sanwo-Olu is coming amid reports that Adediran is in the camp that is supporting the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the party’s national chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu.
