Tanker Explodes On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Another tanker carrying fuel exploded this morning at the Araromi Town area before the Interchange, on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Naija News learnt that the explosion which caused traffic gridlock around that area got motorists close to the scene running for their lives.

The Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) is at the scene trying to control the situation.

FRSC advised motorists to make use of alternative routes to avoid unnecessary delays.

“The rescue operation is still on and the people involved are yet to be confirmed because a bus is also involved.

“The crash scene cordoned off to avoid a secondary crash, and traffic has been diverted,” the commission said.

The commission also urged motorists to remain calm and cooperate with traffic managers managing the situation.
