Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, bagged a brace and turned a provider as Barcelona thumped Benfica nine goals to nil.

Oshoala finished 16th on Monday in the 2022 women’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, which was won back-to-back by her teammate Alexia Putellas.

The Nigerian striker provided two assists as The Eagles were defeated in their first Group D of the UEFA women’s Champions League of the 2022/2023 campaign.

Naija News recalls the Nigerian-born was more than ready to begin the difficult test, as they were tied with Bayern Munich, Benfica, and Rosengard.

Just one minute into the game, Oshoala set up Patri Guijarro for the game’s first goal, giving Barcelona a great start.

After 14 minutes, Oshoala contributed her second assist to Barcelona’s second goal, which was scored by Aitana Bonmati.

The 28-year-old scored her second goal and Barcelona’s eighth goal in the 34th minute to make it 3-0.

With her two goals, Oshoala now has three across all competitions this season.
