Asisat Oshoala on Wednesday evening had an impressive game in the UEFA Women Champions League, resulting in Barcelona Femeni’s Twitter account to refer to her as a “agba baller,” which made some Nigerian fans happy.

Naija News previously reported that the Nigerian international displayed an outstanding performance as the Barcelona Femeni trashed Benfica 9-0.

The Super Falcons forward scored a brace and provided two assists for his team in a UEFA Women’s Champions League tie.

Many Nigerian fans were shocked that the club used Yoruba language to praise Oshoala, according to a tweet from Barcelona’s Twitter account that referred to the striker as “Agba baller.”

A skilled and seasoned football player on the field is referred to as a “agba baller” in Yoruba.

However, a content creator going by the handle @Dreal omoelewa1 recently made this a trend on social media.

Sports fans joined Barcelona in praising Oshoala in the comments section, and many of them urged her to keep shining this season

@iSlimfit suggests raising the pay of the Barcelona page’s handler. “Give this admin a raise!”

Using the Yoruba accent, @Tee6laq said that the Admin sounded familiar to him. “Admin, you sound familiar,” he said.  “have you for once lived in shogunle?” he questioned the twitter handler.

The Nigerian striker must have had a cordial relationship with the twitter user, according to @iambolar. “Admin is definitely good friends with Asisat,” he said.

Out of his delight, @UsmanMustapha_M said he would decorate the Twitter handler with Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON)

“For this tweet, we have conferred you with OON”

The Super Falcon forward, in the opinion of @officialmrdeen, might be handling the page for herself.

“I talk am( I said it), Na asisat Dey handle this page today (Asisat is the one handling this page today”

@Wizebaba believes the handler merits a monetary commitment from him.

“Mr/Miss handler… You deserve money from me for this. 9ja to the world”

@ComradeeLeBS doff his hat to the admin, “Clear road for admin wey sabi”

According to @DsilentG, the gesture is very appealing to the Nigerian audience, “Appealing to the Nigerian audience.”
