Graham Potters men continued their unbeaten run as they were held to a 0-0 draw at the Gtech community stadium by Brentford.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was Edouard Mendy’s backup at the beginning of the season, has now recorded five straight clean sheets across all competitions.

The hosts in a fierce west London derby had three clear opportunities, but Blues goalkeeper, Arrizabalaga denied Ivan Toney’s headers on two occasions and Bryan Mbeumo’s header on another.

Similarly, Brentford’s David Raya denied Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta and Kai Havertz.

The visitors’ substitutes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Christian Pulisic came close to winning it late on, but Raya once again did well enough to make crucial saves to maintain the score.

Brentford manager, Thomas Frank, will be pleased with his team’s performance after they dominated for the majority of a game.

However, before the stoppage time, Frank had to endure some anxious moments as Carney Chukwuemeka’s chance was saved by Raya.

The draw with Brentford keeps the Blues in fourth place in the league standings, seven points behind the league-leading Arsenal, while Brentford, who is currently in ninth place, has now lost five of its 11 Premier League games this season.
