There was chaos on Wednesday at the Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos after some traders reportedly clashed with hoodlums.

In the video sighted by this news platform, traders armed with sticks and stones marched in hundreds in resistance to the thugs who had reportedly launched an attack.

The face-off, threw some parts of Lagos into a total lock jam for hours with business activities around the market grounded.

It is yet unclear what the genesis of the fight was, but the hoodlums could be seen in viral videos holding tightly to dangerous objects as they move at range to attack the traders.

In one of the videos, men with sticks and stones sang ‘war’ songs as they marched in the direction of the opponents.

As at the time this report was filed, the incident has stirred lots of reactions online.

Thugs Storm Atiku’s Presidential Rally Venue

Meanwhile, Hoodlums suspected to be from an opposition party on Monday reportedly attacked the venue scheduled for the Presidential rally of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in Kaduna.

In a post via his verified Twitter handle, the former Nigerian lawmaker and a chieftain of the PDP, Sen. Shehu Sani, revealed that the Wazirin Adamawa was denied access to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna today for his campaign rally which made him opt for an alternative venue.

Sani who said hoodlums attacked the new venue with swords and machetes, said the PDP candidate later got approval to use the venue after he had secured an alternative.

The former lawmaker tweeted: “Thugs just invade the Atiku Rally venue in Kaduna with swords and machetes.

It’s a fact that PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar was denied the use of Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna for his campaign rally. Deceptively and belatedly approved only when an alternative arrangement has been made.”
