Five Under-17 Flamingos Who Could Become Great Footballers

Newly elected President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has urged the Flamingos to play to their best when they take on New Zealand

Naija News earlier reported that girls lost two goals to 1 to the Germans.

The girls, who are known for their prowess,  will have a lot to lose when they face Chile and New Zealand on Friday afternoon after losing to Germany in their group stage.

Gasau has challenged the Nigerian U17 girls to put in their best when they play the young football teams at the FIFA U17 women’s world cup in India.

“I spoke to the girls after the match against Germany to cheer them up, and I have spoken to them and their officials today for them to appreciate the enormity of the task before them, because the NFF and indeed, all Nigerians, want them to proceed to the knock-out stages. They must work hard at converting their opportunities. They must play to their strengths and do the best they can to emasculate the opposition,” he said.

“A good win against New Zealand will be a great confidence-booster for the team going into the crunch encounter with Chile on Monday,” he added.

Nigeria will be looking to move on from the German’s defeat as they face New Zealand on Friday, October 14, 2022.
