Breaking: Supreme Court Takes Decision On Fresh CSU Evidence By Atiku Against Tinubu

The Atiku Abubakar’s camp has mocked the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, for saying that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is a party of termites.

Naija News reported that Tinubu, during the inauguration of the APC Women Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, described the PDP as a party full of highly corrupt politicians.

Our opponents spent 16 years, they had forgotten that the highway is an economy, electricity is mandatory for industrialisation. They don’t understand the transmission lines and the need for maintenance. They couldn’t make a down payment for the trail track. They are a political party of termites,” he had said.

Reacting in a tweet via his Twitter handle, Phrank Shaibu, media aide to Atiku, reminded the APC presidential candidate of the role of termites under the current APC government.

He asked Tinubu to remember how the same termites “ate” N17.1billion payment vouchers under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

He wrote: “@officialABAT, have you forgotten that under Buhari’s @OfficialAPCNg #monkeys abandoned banana for #Naira notes; termites left woods for vouchers; snakes left rodents for #Naira notes? #Amnesia is real…Nigerians are ur greatest albatross, hamstrung and nemesis! @daily.”

Naija News reports that animals have been blamed for missing funds without a trace or eating up financial documents in the last seven and half years of the ruling party’s administration.

Termites were alleged to have recently eaten up some documents of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) containing expenditures worth N17.1 billion.

These documents are said to contain details of spending by the agency in 2013.
