African players for many years have been known for their passion and grit in European and other football leagues.

5. Sadio Mane

The Senegalese striker, who has won a good number of trophies for his former club, Liverpool, left the club in the summer for Bayern Munich to face a “new challenge”. The Nigerian International who plays as a left back was a hero for his Portuguese side at the European Champions League against Bayern Leverkusen this week. He came off the bench to give his team a brilliant headed goal in the 69th minute.
3. Kamal Sowah
The Ghanaian International did excellently well for his Belgian team in the UEFA champions League tie in a 2-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid. Ferran Jutgla outran several Atletico defenders before finding Kamal Sowah who struck into an empty net. The Ghanaian has scored two consecutive goals playing for the blue and black jersey.
2. Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah’s team, Liverpool have not been in their best form this season, while the Egyptian king has not really delievered an impressive performance in a long time. But, the Egyptian Captain was in action this week as he helped his team score a deserved second goal from the penalty spot after Luis Diaz was fouled.

The Algerian midfielder who was poised to comeback to his best by the Spanish Boss, Pep Guardiola, understood the assignment has he was rated high in his club’s demolition of Copenhagen in the UEFA champions league, having scored a spot kick to make it 4-0 for the citizens, he also turned a provider by setting up his Argentine team mate, Julian Alvarez to score from a close range.
