Real Madrid’s Early Goals Seal Narrow Victory Over Shakhtar

In a narrow victory over Shakhtar Donetsk at the Santiago Bernabeu, early dominance by Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. made it three victories in a row.

13 minutes from the Kickoff, Rodrygo’s goal from the edge of the box, which was assisted by the excellent Aurelien Tchouameni, gave Real Madrid the perfect start.

To set up Vinicius Jr. for the home team’s second goal in the 28 minute, Federico Valverde, Rodrygo, and Karim Benzema had a nice build up.

As the Spanish powerhouse got closer to earning their place in the knockout rounds, Shakhtar was unable to find a leveler.

One point ahead of RB Leipzig and still in second place in Group F, Shakhtar will play Madrid in the reverse fixture on Tuesday in Warsaw.
