The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Adewole Adebayo has said that he is determined to fix Nigeria and truth is the spanner he will adopt to achieve it.

According to him, to fix something, one must first identify the problem, and understand it, then one can avoid further damages.

Adebayo who spoke at an event organised by the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), held at the Nigerian Army Resource Center in Abuja said Nigeria is not a difficult country to live in, but what she has gone through is a deliberate sabotage by some people, and only Nigerians can fix Nigeria the same way they damaged it.

He retreated that he wants to fix the country with his spanner of truth stating that “we have insecurity, the government of the day can fix it if it stops the business in it.”

The SDP presidential candidate observed that Nigeria s problem can be fixed today if we want it fixed.

He added that talents are not being attracted into government and that the people are in government because of money.

“Nigeria doesn’t need more than seven ideas to work. The young people have no excuse anymore because the political space is now open unlike when we were being beaten by the military,” he added.

To achieve a better Nigeria, Adebayo said the first thing to do is to fix ourselves and that “we are going into the election not because we’ve learned lessons but because time has come.’

He stated that “If we don’t fix ourselves, we will get worse results than in 2019. People are saying Buhari is a disaster. They want us to know that Jonathan was a saint. I don’t agree. The same with Obasanjo.”

He continued saying every youth in Nigeria seems to be angry with Nigeria, they seem to be innocent but whether we like it or not, everyone is guilty, and that some people want to fix the country but they do not want certain things to be fixed.

“There is serious injustice either in the service. The government is creating new poverty. In the past, poverty was limited to people that are disabled and illiterate. The government has made it impossible for professionals to have value for their work because the currency has been devalued,” he added.

Adebayo who likened Nigeria to a car said just like a car “if we don’t understand what is wrong with Nigeria, we can’t fix it.

Meanwhile, in another report, the SDP presidential candidate confirmed that he has what is required to fix and rescue Nigeria from all the problems confronting her.

He explained that the problem of Nigeria is the basic lack of truth, “we don’t like the truth, of course, we like some truth if it is the truth against somebody but if it’s the truth against us, we don’t like it.”

To fix Nigeria Adebayo noted that we must make up our minds, be deliberate, because oftentimes we want to do justice but we don’t want justice that costs us anything.

“I have seen people who want to fix Nigeria but they don’t want to acknowledge that they are the cause of the problems, they believe they are innocent. Everybody is part of the problem one way or the other,” he remarked.

He called on all well-meaning Nigerians to join hands and collectively assign a candidate with the determination to fix the country during the 2023 general elections period.
