Potter Declares Frenchman As One Of The Best In The World

Ahead of the clash against Serie A giants, Chelsea boss, Graham Potter has declared France’s N’golo Kante as the best in the world.

Meanwhile, Naija News recalls that injuries have plagued Kanté for the past three years, and is currently sidelined with a hamstring issue since August, with his fitness issues likely to come up in negotiations for a new contract.

Potter’s predecessor at Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel, warned last month that the France international might have to accept a contract with fewer benefits due to his problems.

N’Golo Kante is a valuable asset to the team, however, according to the London boss, Graham Potter, while responding to the Frenchman’s decision not to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge.

But after the France international was ruled out of tonight’s Champions League match, the former Brighton manager stated that what matters to him is to see the player back on the field.

“My focus at the moment is to help him rehabilitate in a good way so that he is available for us and on the pitch,” said the British Manager.

“When he is on the pitch, he is a huge asset to us. The other thing is between the club and him. My focus is to help him get fit and enjoy his football. There are not many players in world football like NG, so the quicker he is back, the better,” he added.
