APC Campaign Council Under Fire Over Ban Of Arise TV From Tinubu’s Lagos Event

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is expected to commence it presidential campaign for the 2023 general elections on the 10th of October, 2022.

APC fixed the new date with expectations to receive the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu back to the country in the next few days.

Recall that Tinubu travelled out of the country days before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the commencement of the presidential campaign season.

There were speculations that Tinubu travelled out of the country based on health issues, while his supporters claimed that he only took time off to rest before the commencement of the campaign.

Recall that the party days after Tinubu travelled out shifted the commencement of its campaigns which had earlier been scheduled for Wednesday, September 28.

The Director-General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong while speaking on the reason for shifting the date said the adjustment of the timetable was a result of the move to expand the campaign council list to accommodate more stakeholders.

A source that spoke with Daily Independent disclosed that Tinubu would be back in the country in few days time as the ruling party kicks off its presidential campaign.
