The eighty six kilometer Minna-Bida road in Niger state has been cut off again, causing a lot of inconveniences to motorist plying the route, as well as posing danger to lives.

This is the third time in a month that the major road, which is one of the busiest in the country and a link between the North and the Southern region is collapsing.

According to Radio Nigeria report, some motorists plying the road complained of the inconvenience and hardship it has caused, as motorists are forced to use alternative roads from Lemu in Gbako local government council to Bida, while those going to Minna now follow Wushishi Zungeru road.

Just few weeks ago, the dilapidated bridge on Bida-Minna Road collapsed at Sagamio Farms, about 23 kilometers from Bida and 60 kilometers from Minna thereby cutting off the two major towns in Niger State.

The collapse was as a results of flood from heavy down pour of rain, which also affected many communities in the state.
