Fr. Mbaka’s Replacement At Adoration Ministry Escapes Attempted Attack From Worshipers
The decision of the catholic church to appoint a new leader to preside over the activities of the Adoration Ministry in Enugu State has not gone down well with the worshippers.
This is as Naija News gathered the worshippers made an attempt to mob the new priest who was appointed to replace Father Ejike Mbaka.
As earlier reported by Naija News, Father Anthony Amadi has been appointed as the new Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) by the Catholic Church authorities.
This is as Father Mbaka proceeds to the monastery.
However, following the announcement, worshippers on Sunday nearly mobbed Father Amadi who had to be moved to safety by the security operatives on ground.
They erupted into shouts such as “we say no, we say no, we no gree.”
I’m Going To The Monastery
Announcing the development and his replacement, Father Mbaka said he is going to the monastery to continue the disciplinary measures against him.
He said: “So, while I proceed to the monastery to continue with the remaining disciplinary exercises, as directed; I wouldn’t know how long; but the church has appointed Fr Anthony Amadi, one of us, to be overseeing all affairs of the ministry, to be assisted by other priests, pending my return, by the grace of God.”
