Conor Gallagher made a shocking late comeback at Selhurst Park to haunt Crystal Palace, giving his new manager Graham Potter his first victory.

With his first goal for the team, substitute Gallagher, who excelled while on loan at Palace last season, lashed in a magnificent right-footed strike to grab the victory for Chelsea.

In the 76th minute, Potter substituted Kai Havertz for Gallagher, who had made his England debut the previous season thanks to his stellar play for Palace.

Gallagher gave the English manager his first victory snatching all 3 points from the home team, and putting the Blues 8 points behind the Gunners.

Reactions Trail Gallagher’s Goal

Some sports fans have responded differently to what they believe will be Potter’s next move regarding the English lad after the Epsom-born put on a spectacular display to rub salt on Palace’s wound.

@GOdumo via his social media page thanked Gallagher for winning the match for his favourite club:

“Thanks for winning the match for us today. It’s obvious we can’t depend on Harvertz for goals.”

He continued by dishing out his advice to Chelsea’s new boss on his future team selections, “Graham Potter should start making amends on his team selection.” He said.

Another fan @kimoneyjnr sarcastically advised Potter to loan the lad back to Selhurst Park, saying “Loan him back to palace” with a grin.

@OtismartP, a sports fan in his view believes the English Midfielder should be starting for the blues anytime he’s fit to play “This man should be in the starting lineup unless he is not fit to play.” and he went further to praise him and demanded for a more sensational performance from conor “Good effort lad, More of that.”
