Mixed Reactions Trail Erik ten Hag’s ‘Well Deserved’ Manager Of The Month Award

Manchester United‘s new boss, Erik ten Hag has been voted the Premier League’s manager for the month of September.

Following his departure from Ajax, the Dutch manager lost his first two competitive games, to Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion F.C.

However, since then, he has guided United to four straight league victories.

In September, the 52-year-old manager steered his team to beat Leicester City, followed by an Impressive 3-1 victory over Arsenal three days later.

The Premier League named the United boss Manager of the Month for September, beating out Tottenham’s Antonio Conte and interim Bournemouth manager Gary O’Neil.

Different football fans responded to the announcement by comparing the Dutch manager with other managers and analyzing why he should have received the award and why he doesn’t deserve it.

Erik doesn’t deserve the award based on his performance, according to the well-known social media influencer @DanielRegha, who was responding to a tweet of praise from Manchester United’s official Twitter page.

“Manchester United played a good game this September but Erik isn’t the best manager in the Premier League; Judging by overall performance,” he said.

Then he went on to compare the former Ajax coach with Arteta. “Arteta outshined Erik, so it’s unfair that Erik won the Manager of the Month.” Adding that the Dutch Boss won the EPL manager of the month based on favouritism.

@De_Empire1, “Erik ten Hag is quite impressive and deserves some accolades but does he really deserve manager of the month ??” questioned another sports enthusiast while praising the manager’s impressive performance thus far.

Also another fan @Alvin_Alweendo believed the Arsenal manager whose team is leading the English Premier League table deserves the best manager for the month of September

“Erik Ten Hag doesn’t even deserve that award ffs, Artera deserved it way more”.

@nathana_el_fid0 replied him by reminding him how the Arsenal Boss was spanked 3 goals to one by the new manager

“The same Arteta that lost to Ten Hags United..?” he said.

However, @Djjamzy_ was unable to seal his Joy on how the Manager has exceeded his expectations by winning the award despite joining the team only six months prior.

“A manager that’s yet to spend up to 6months has won manager of the month Erik ten hag is incredible!”. 

Additionally, @BiGJ0El scoffed at queries from fans about the Eredivisie Medalist’s performance by outlining what he believes he has accomplished thus far,

“Erik Ten hag brought a bunch of unconfident and lagging group of boys from the verge of relegation to talk of premier League, 4 managers lost there job in the process and he did that in less than 2 months, what else does he deserve?”
