A video showing pupils of a Primary School at Mabo Paikon Kore, Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja, sitting on the bare floor to learn has emerged online.

Naija News reports that TrackaNG, a group monitoring the implementation of government projects in communities, took to Twitter, to share the dilapidated state of the school.

The group claimed that over a hundred pupils sit on the bare floor to learn in such an unpleasant environment.

The tweet reads: “Dear #DrRamatuTijjani. This is (the) terrible condition in LEA Primary School, Mabo Paikon Kore, Gwagwalada Area Council, FCT, Abuja, where over 100 pupils sit on the bare (floor) to learn in an unpleasant environment.”

Eight Dead, Others Injured As Petrol Tanker Explodes

Meanwhile, a petrol tanker exploded on Wednesday in Ankpa town in Kogi State, leaving at least eight people dead.

Speaking with reporters on Thursday, the Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kogi State, Stephen Dawulung, said two injured persons were also rescued from the incident.

Dawulung revealed that the gruesome accident occurred when a fuel tanker crushed four vehicles, including a passenger bus, adding that the injured persons were rushed to General Hospital, Ankpa, for immediate medical attention.

The FRSC corps commander stated that the emergency officers are still trying to know the actual figure of the casualty, stressing that the figure may rise
