Bayern Munich director claims that Sadio Mane needs more time

The sports director of Bayern Munich, Hasan Salihamidzic, has acknowledged that Sadio Mane, Senegal forward, still needs time to adjust to the Bundesliga.

The Senegal international attacker completed a €41 million (£37 million/$40 million) transfer from Anfield stadium, after a spectacular six-year stay during which he won both the Champions League and the Premier League.

The former Liverpool got off to a quick start, tallying three goals in his first three Bundesliga matches.

However, the international player from Senegal has been scoreless in the last five outings, missing out on two chances in the Champions League just before the break.

Salihamidzic, who described Mane as one of the top players in the world, has now disclosed that he communicates with him frequently.

Salihamidzic told BILD about Mane’s situation at Bayern: “Sadio still needs a bit of time. He has to get used to the Bundesliga, but he will–I speak regularly with him.

“Sadio is one of the best players in the world. We. We will still have a lot of joy with him.”

The Bundesliga Giant have lost its last four league games and currently ranked fifth in the standings.
