[BREAKING] #NigeriaDecides: Labour Party DG Loses Ekiti LGA Votes To Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has received the backing of the Middle Belt Forum ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The forum while giving the reason for supporting Obi’s presidential ambition noted that it believes in zoning.

According to the forum, it is equity, justice and fairness to zone the 2023 presidency to the southeast.

The forum disclosed that before reaching its decision, they had serious consideration of issues in Nigeria in collaboration with the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Afenifere and the Niger Delta Forum, among other socio-cultural groups in the country.

The Chairman of the Forum and Convener of Middle Belt for OBIDATTI 2023, Dr Pogu Bitrus stated this at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos, Plateau State Capital on Wednesday.

Bitrus noted that currently Nigeria has a president from the North and by 2023, Muhammadu Buhari would have spent 8 years in office, adding that it is the turn of the South.

Obi while speaking at the campaign on Wednesday called on Nigerians to pray for a peaceful election.

The former governor of Anambra State pledged to provide security to protect Nigerians.

He further stated that the forthcoming election in the country is not the turn of anybody, but the turn of Nigerians to take back their country.
