Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has reacted to the destruction of N194bn worth of cocaine by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Naija News reports that a few weeks ago, the agency confirmed its officers seized N194bn worth of cocaine, which weighed 1.8tonnes in a warehouse located at Ikorodu, Lagos State and the suspected drug barons were also arrested.

In a video shared on the agency’s Twitter page on Tuesday, NDLEA showed the seized drugs being set ablaze.

The post read: “NDLEA sets ablaze 1.8 tons of cocaine recovered from a warehouse in Ikorodu area of Lagos today, Tuesday 27th September 2022.”

Reacting to this, Falz, faulted the agency for burning potential evidence before culprits are arraigned in a court of law.

While questioning the decision of the agency regarding burning the cocaine seizure, the rapper added that the current administration must really think that Nigerians are daft.

He tweeted: “This administration must really think that we are daft sha!! What is this lamba (lie) that the NDLEA is giving with this cocaine seizure saga? Dem dey burn evidence?”

Lagos Monarch Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison

Meanwhile, the dethroned Baale of Shangisha in the Magodo area of Lagos, Mutiu Ogundare, has been sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment.

Naija News recalls the former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on July 13, 2017, suspended the Baale over a kidnap incident.

After five years, Justice Hakeem Oshodi, on Tuesday convicted and sentenced the accused on a two-count bordering on breach of peace in the state and fake kidnapping.

Also jailed for the same prison term was his brother, Opeyemi Mohammed.

The court, however, set his wife Abolanle, free, having earlier absolved her of the charges earlier levelled against her.
