Ararume Ends Speculations About Dumping APC For Labour Party
Ifeanyi Ararume

Imo State-born politician, Sen. Ifeanyi Godwin Ararume has cleared the air on viral reports that he has joined Peter Obi’s Labour Party.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday that he never collapsed his structures to declare allegiance to any other political party.

Naija News reports that the two-time senator explained this in the terse statement issued to newsmen today by his legal aide, Barr. Uche Anyanwu.

Against the speculations that the 27 local government areas and all political wards of Imo have been dissolved into the Labour Party, Ararume said the claims were crafted by promoters of fake news.

The politician said he had never hidden his political destination and would never join any party through the backdoor.

Ararume stressed that the authors of the report were hired by some faceless individuals to peddle falsehood in order to embarrass him.

Senator Araraume, who represented Imo North Senatorial District in the Senate, warned against what he termed: “consistent and mischievous attempts by detractors to portray me to the public as politically inconsistent.”

The politician charged media practitioners to uphold the ethics of journalism, admonishing writers to seek all sides to a story and the opinions of all those affected before rushing to publish.

“A situation where journalists present blackmail, conjectures, speculations and imaginations as true stories to the reading public, portends danger to the profession and to the larger society,” he said.

2023: APC Confirms PDP Senator, Nnamani Is Working For Tinubu Presidency

The drama surrounding the inclusion of a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Chimaroke Nnamani in the APC Presidential Campaign Council has gone up by another notch.

This is as the APC presidential council director of media, Bayo Onanuga on Monday confirmed that the inclusion of Nnamani in its list is not a mistake.

The APC presidential campaign council also assured state governors on the party’s platform that nominations submitted by them have not been discarded.

Naija News recalls the inclusion of Nnamani, a serving senator and member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in the APC campaign list caused a stir.

The APC council on Monday released fresh details about the development, with claims that the Enugu lawmaker is working for the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The statement released to that effect by Onanuga reads; “The PCC will also want to clarify that the appearance of the name of HE Chimaroke Nnamani, a distinguished senator from Enugu State, was not a mistake.

“He is on the list in his own right as a supporter of our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
