Buhari To Confer National Honour On Accord Party Guber Candidate, Adelabu

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to confer the National Award of Officer of the order of the Federal Republic (OFR) on the Accord Party’s Governorship candidate in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu.

Naija News reports that President Buhari will confer the national award on Adelabu and others on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

This was made known in a statement signed by Oyo State Chairman of the Accord Party, Ojo Kolade, and made available to newsmen on Sunday.

The conferment notice was signed by the Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, George Akume.

Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will join other prominent awardees found by the federal government worthy of the National Honours.

The award for the financial expert will come up on the same day his gubernatorial campaign train ought to be flagged off.

The 2022 National Honour Award letter signed by the Minister reads, “I have the honour to formally inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the conferment of National honour on you in the rank of OFR, (Officer of the order of the Federal Republic).”

“The investiture ceremony is scheduled to take place at the International conference centre, ICC, Abuja on Tuesday 11, October, 2022 at 9am.

“All award recipients are required to forward one-page citation and current passport photograph.”
