Peter Obi Reacts As Newly Weds Join ‘Obidient’ Rally In Abuja

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, (LP) Peter Obi has saluted a newlywed couple who joined the drive of Nigerian youths in ‘taking back’ the country on Saturday in Abuja.

Naija News reports that the yet-to-be-identified couple joined supporters who converged at the Unity Fountain to march around Abuja city gate.

The couple whose special day fell on the same day of the rally were captured in their wedding attire marching alongside in solidarity with other supporters.

Reacting to the development, Obi in a statement on Saturday appreciated the coupl, and wished their union a blissful and happy marriage. 

Taking to the microblogging platform, Twitter he said, “Salute and congratulations to this newly wedded couple in Abuja, whose special day coincided with the Obidient Family March in Abuja; and they marched too! Wishing you both a blissful and happy married life and children who will grow up in a united, secure and productive Nigeria. -PO”

Peter Obi Redefines Obidient Movement’

Meanwhile, Peter Obi has redefined the Obidient movement following the incessant backlash from opposition parties.

Naija News reports that the former governor of Anambra state, Obi via the microblogging platform, Twitter, recently gave a new definition to the movement.
