The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag-bearer for the 2023 election, Bola Tinubu, on Thursday wrote to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, over the demise of his long-time ally, Abdullahi Nyako.

The former Vice President had announced earlier through his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, that his aide who was the Waziri of Kojoli, Yelli District of Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State has died.

Naija News understands that Nyako died on Thursday morning in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Tinubu in a statement issued through his media office in Abuja expressed his sympathy for Atiku and the family of the deceased.

The former governor of Lagos State said he was deeply saddened by Nyako’s death.

He prayed that the almighty Allah grants repose to the soul of the late Nyako. He also beseeched God to comfort the PDP candidate, the family, friends, and associates of the late Nyako.

Tinubu Presidency Will Accelerate National Growth – Ganduje 

Meanwhile, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said on Wednesday that the victory of Tinubu in the forthcoming election would accelerate national growth and development in the country.

Ganduje hailed the former governor of Lagos State, saying he is a man of integrity who also, according to him, has contributed wholesomely to the development of democracy in Nigeria.

The party chieftain who spoke while accepting an appointment as the patron of the APC National Integrity Movement (ANIM) at the Government House, Kano, said Tinubu’s track records and the pedigree shows that he can propel Nigeria to greatness if elected as president.

“Asiwaju is a man of integrity and a good product. He has contributed greatly to the growth and development of our democracy.

“He is a consummate democrat and the leader of progressives who fought to bring the democratic rule that Nigerians are enjoying today,” Ganduje said.

He urged ANIM to consolidate on their support and advocacy for Tinubu after the presidential election in 2023. Ganduje expressed appreciation for the recognition by the group and promised to work hard for the election of Asiwaju as president.
