EPL: Man United Has Dropped Ronaldo From The Squad To Face Chelsea

The Football Association has charged Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo with improper conduct.

Ronaldo was found wanting for knocking a mobile phone out of a supporter’s hand.

The Portuguese was involved in the act during Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat at Everton Goodison Park back in April.

Ronaldo in a video shared on social media smashed a phone out of a young fan’s hand as he left the pitch and headed towards the tunnel.

Police had earlier cautioned Ronaldo regarding the incident, with the Portugal International apologizing to the 14-year-old, Jacob Harding on his Instagram account.

Ronaldo in the post on his account admitted that his emotions got the better of him after the defeat.

Manchester United in its reaction to the charge against Ronaldo said they will be supporting their player in response to the charge.

The statement from the FA read, “Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3 for an incident that took place after Manchester United’s Premier League match against Everton FC on Saturday 9 April 2022.

“It is alleged that the forward’s conduct after the final whistle was improper and/or violent.”
