Nigerian singer and DMW boss, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has sparked reactions after re-following Portable [Habib Okikiola] on Instagram.
Naija News recalls that Davido unfollowed the controversial singer months ago after the latter reportedly made some unhealthy comments about him despite showing him support in the past.
The duo were both in Osun months ago during the state’s governorship election campaigns but supported different candidates.
While Davido pitched his tent with his uncle Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who eventually won the election, Portable was hired by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to campaign for Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the ruling party in the state.
At the time, Portable lampooned Davido and called him some nasty names. Portable later released a video where he mentioned that his father is not a rich man and that he has collected money and his vote is for APC. Though, he did not mention Davido in the video.
The singers, however, have since been at loggerheads.
However, Portable took to Instagram on August 30, to apologize to Davido for calling him out during the 2022 Osun gubernatorial election.
The Zazu crooner said: “Accept your pass without regrets handle your present with confidence face your future without fear…Akoi apologies to @davido. We no get any issue. Akoi loyalty. Won ti settle eh.”
In the new development, Portable returned to Instagram on Monday to celebrate being followed again on Instagram by Davido.
Naija News understands that Davido followed him after Portable released “Azaman”- a cover of Asake’s hit single ‘Organise’ and made a supportive comment “Goin” about the cover.
Portable thanked Davido for the support.
He wrote: “If you want to shine like a sun fist burn like a sun @davido Dõn follow me back Aza Man Aza Man Every Other Days is Aza Manany disappointment is a blessing another day another blessings #AzaMan”.
