He Came To My House - Ayu Reveals PDP Governor Leaving Wike's G5 Soon

Leaders in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are considering the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu should meet with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

The party leadership is taking the step as the 2023 general campaign season draws closer.

The camp of Governor Wike in its demand to support the party in the forthcoming election had requested for the party National Chairman, Ayu to resign from office.

The move was, however, truncated after members of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) passed a vote of confidence on Ayu.

The development had hindered Wike’s camp from raising the move to remove Ayu from office.

Ayu in his move to remain in office and please the Rivers State Governor, pleaded with the Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Adolphus Wabara to meet with Wike.

The party leadership set up delegates expected to meet with Governor Wike at his residence in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

A source that spoke with Leadership, said the party leaders are still deliberating on whether Ayu should lead the delegation or not.

The source said, “It has not been decided as the deliberation is still on. But at the meeting, it was agreed that the chairman should not make public comments that will infuriate the governors.

“He has been asked to be mindful of not making comments and I think we already saw that when he met the BoT chairman.”
