Gov. Zulum Withdraws Name From List Of Commissioner-nominees Submitted To Borno State House Of Assembly

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Borno State chapter has claimed that they are constantly being bullied by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The PDP made the allegation via a statement made available by its Publicity Secretary, Amos Adziba.

Adziba raised the alarm, following the arrest, harassment and torture of some members of the party by members of the Civilian Joint Task Force on Wednesday.

The publicity secretary insisted that the attack was carried out under the directive of the state government in Konduga Local Government Area of the state.

Adziba warned the state government under the leadership of  Governor Babagana Zulum, to desist from using force to silence the opposition.

Adziba said, “There is no where in the country where party members are been harassed like this before.

“APC should stop intimidating our members, we will no longer take it; enough is enough. They don’t need to attack us; they should fulfill what they promise us.

“Enough of this, we are not in a military era. What I am telling them is that God is not sleeping. When the time comes, the people will speak through their votes.”

The PDP noted that they would no longer sit still in the face of any form of intimidation and there would be zero tolerance to imposition of candidates on the people.

He explained that they are law abiding citizens and only God and Nigerians should be the ones who decide who to take over power.
