The Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal may resign as Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.

This is coming after the Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Walid Jibrin resigned.

Naija News had earlier reported that Jibrin on Thursday tendered his resignation amidst the internal crisis rocking the party.

The camp of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike had condemned the main opposition party titling its leadership positions toward the north.

Governor Wike’s camp in its displeasure had asked the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu to resign.

A source that spoke with Daily Trust revealed that Tambuwal had been advised to resign the chairman of the governor’s forum.

Naija News learnt that Tambuwal’s resignation would make way for the south to take over leadership in the party.

A further report has it that party stakeholders majorly from the North, prevailed on the BoT Chair and Governor Tambuwal to vacate their position to give South an inclusion.

PDP Crisis: Wike Reacts To Jibrin’s Resignation
