Egbewole Emerges As UNILORIN New Vice Chancellor

Professor Wahab Egbewole has been appointed as the new vice chancellor of the University of Ilorin (Unilorin).

The Governing Council of the institution on Thursday evening announced Wahab as the new vice chancellor during a press briefing held at the Council chamber of the University.

The announcement was made by the chairman of Unilorin governing council, Abidu Yasid.

Egbewole’s appointment on Thursday makes him the 12th Vice Chancellor of the University.

Professor Egbewole would take over from Professor Sulyman Abdulkareem when his tenure ends on the 15th of October 2022.

According to Yazid, Egbewole was appointed as the vice chancellor of Unilorin after the rigorous screening of 13 professors.

The professors were screened by the council in the last four days.

The new vice chancellor of Unilorin is a Professor of International Law and Jurisprudence and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
