I Never Said Wike Is Not His Children’s Father – Ayu

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu on Saturday denied attacking the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Ayu in a statement released on Saturday distanced himself from a post online quoting him to have denigrated Governor Wike.

The PDP National Chairman took to his Twitter account to share screenshots of the post, describing them as “mischievous and senseless”.

He further stated that the construction of posts attributed to him is beneath his personality.

Ayu noted that he did not say anything after Governor Wike described him as an ingrate a few days ago.

Peter Obi Reacts As Oyo, Nnewi Supporters Goes Agog In ‘Obidient’ Rally

The presidential candidate of the Labour party, (LP) Peter Obi who is currently outside the country has appreciated the supporters in Oyo, Ogun and Nnewi who, despite the odds staged their planned one-million man march for him.

Naija News earlier reported that supporters, mostly youths defied the rain and marched in their numbers in the capital city of Oyo on Saturday morning.

Similar marches were also held in other cities such as Nnewi and Ogun state.

Taking to his verified social media handles, the LP flagbearer, Peter Obi saluted the youths of the Obidient family, adding that the mission calls for resiliency.

PDP Crisis: ‘Atiku To Meet Wike On Wednesday’

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar is expected to meet with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Wednesday.

The speculated meeting between the Atiku and Governor Wike is coming days after they meet in London to resolve their differences.

A political actor close to Atiku who spoke with New Telegraph said Atiku is meeting with Wike to conclude his demands.

The source noted that Atiku is hoping that the crisis in the party will be resolved ahead of the 2023 general elections.

They Go About Shouting ‘IT IS MY TURN’ As If Its Entitlement – Peter Obi Mocks Oppositions

Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has taken a swipe at his opposition in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.

The former Anambra State Governor was seen in a viral video on social media mocking the leadership of an unnamed party, saying they were going about saying ‘IT IS THEIR TURN’ to become president of Nigeria.

Naija News heard Obi saying in the video that the 2023 election will be based on the character that the citizens can trust and not as a race of entitlement as some people have clearly stated earlier.

2023: Miyetti Allah Speaks On Presidential Candidate It Will Support

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) says it has not taken a final decision on the candidate the group will support for the 2023 presidential election.

The Secretary of the group, Usman Ngerzema disclosed that the congress would meet and determine which of the candidates will get the block votes of its members or if they will remain neutral this time around.

According to Ngerzema, MACBAN consists of members with diverse political affiliations and the decision on which candidate or party to support has not been finalized.

He said they would have to consider the manifesto, capabilities and other things before reaching a final decision.

Naija News understands the MACBAN Secretary made the position of the group known in response to inquiries from the Punch on which party or candidate would get their support.

2023: Peter Obi Is Atiku’s Creation — Melaye

The spokesperson of the Atiku presidential campaign organisation, Dino Melaye has described the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi as the creation of the former Vice President.

According to Melaye, nobody knew the former governor of Anambra State before the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, chose him as his running mate in 2019.

Obi was Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election on the platform of the PDP.

He further stated that Atiku discovered Obi, adding that Obi should never outshine his master.

Melaye, however, described Obi as a fantastic Nigerian but claimed that the presidency in the country is not the same thing as the director general of the National Bureau of Statistics.

PDP NEC Decides Ayu’s Fate Thursday

The National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are expected to meet on Thursday to decide the fate of the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

The board members will decide if Ayu should remain in office or step down following the emergence of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar who is also from the north.

Ayu had reportedly vowed to step down from office if the presidential candidate of the party emerge from the North.

The PDP National Chairman, however, after the emergence of Atiku insisted that he would not step down.

This is despite the call by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for Ayu to resign from office.

Ayu had stated that he would not allow children (whose names he did not reveal) to destroy the party.

ADC Presidential Candidate, Kachikwu Suspended

The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has been suspended from the party, Naija News reports.

The party noted in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday that the presidential hopeful was suspended over gross indiscipline and violations of the party’s constitution which include publications and utterances capable of maligning the ADC national officers.

The statement said the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party had chosen to ignore Kachikwu’s previous offences for peace to reign but it could not shy away from his recent misguided and defamatory video circulating the cyberspace, among other infractions.

ADC’s Deputy National Chairman (Politics), Dr. Bamidele Ajadi stressed in the statement that the decision was taken against Kachikwu following an emergency NWC meeting held on Friday, 2nd September 2022.

Again, Wike, PDP Governors Meet In London As PDP Crisis Lingers

Some governors of the People Democratic Party, PDP, such as the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom reportedly met again in London on Friday to take decisive action towards the lingering crisis rocking the party.

A top-ranking member of the party told Vanguard that Makinde was first to join Wike, while Ortom made a stopover on his way to the United States of America.

The source said, “unless a miracle happens, the reconciliation talks between Atiku and Wike have irretrievably collapsed.

“Wike and his team are currently in London where they met this afternoon and I have it on good authority that the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, will be joining them to conclude talks started weeks ago.”

2023 Presidency: Atiku, Kwankwaso, Peter Obi Working For Tinubu’s Victory – Garba

A former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has claimed that presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, are creating an even wider victory margin for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with their recent campaign activities.

Garba, who spoke during an interview with Arise TV, said former Governor of Kano State and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is not left out in the equation.

According to him, the trio are dividing each other’s camp, putting the ruling party in a great position ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The APC chieftain said the recent defection of Senator Ibrahim Shekarau from NNPP to PDP and the evolution of Obi is a plus-plus for Tinubu-Kashim Shettima’s ticket.
