One Killed As Gunmen Kidnap Kaduna School Rector

Unknown gunmen reportedly attacked an army unit in Eha Amufu community in Enugu state, killing one soldier in the process.

According to a Facebook user identified as Nonso Egbuagu who shared the video online, the attack occurred at the Army base in Isi Uzo LGA on Thursday morning, 1st September.

Nonso added that a Hilux van belonging to the army was set ablaze, while the bikes of officers were carted away by the gunmen.

He alleged that the gunmen shot sporadically in the air to scare the locals away during the operations.

Sharing the video, Nonso wrote; “At the time of this report, it has been confirmed that one Army officer lost his dear life to this attack. An Army Hilux Van was also set ablaze with so many gunshots. They also took the bikes of the Army officers.

‘The Gunmen took the route of Overail, through Umuhu bridge to Nkalagu road after the operation to escape, while shooting sporadically into the air to scare people away

“All I will continue to say is that security should be a major priority for everyone in Isi-Uzo LGA and Eha-Amufu right now. May God protect his people as we try our best to protect ourselves too.”
