This Day: In apparent reference to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, yesterday, read the riot act to party members, saying PDP is not built on any individual, and no one can distract its leadership. Ayu gave the waning in Kano, when the party received former Kano State Governor and Senator for Kano Central Senatorial District, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, who formally defected to PDP.

The Nation: The Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) has declared a comprehensive, total and indefinite strike, citing the alleged failure of the Federal Government to frontally address its demands.

Daily Sun: Following what they consider as attempt to blackmail and arm-twist the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and his allies, some hotheads in the party may fight back viciously to arrest the move.
