2023: Saraki Reveals Why Peter Obi's Administration Will Be Disastrous

Former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State of maliciously using the ‘O to ge’ campaign to oust the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from government.

According to Saraki, the strategy was adopted to deceive the people of the state just to win elections.

The former Senate president stated this on Sunday while receiving members of the ruling APC in the state who defected to the PDP.

The APC won the 2019 general elections in the state, winning the governorship seat, the three Senate seats, six House of Representatives seats and 24 state House of Assembly seats.

Speaking on the past event while receiving defectors from the party, Saraki described the 2019 ‘O to ge’ movement adopted by the APC to win the elections as tissues of lies.

He said: “But Kwarans have learnt their lessons in a bitter way now. I am confident that the PDP will send the APC away from the Government House in 2023 by the grace of God.”

The politician explained that he was optimistic because of the poor performance of the current Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq.

Residents of the state both indigenes and non indigenes are now regretting that they mistakenly voted for the current government in 2019,” he added.

The defectors, who were led by Kayode Ogunlowo, stated that they left the APC because of victimization and intimidation by the present administration in the state.
