Ben Bruce Deletes His Tweet After Being Called Out Over False Claim About Peter Obi

Former Nigerian Senator, Ben Bruce has deleted his tweet after being called out by a former Vice President of the World Bank, Aruma Oteh, over a false claim about the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Naija News reports that Ben Murray shared a similar video with former Senator, Dino Melaye video on Twitter, claiming that the former Governor of Anambra endorsed the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar at the Nigerian Bar Association conference, which was held on Monday, August 22.

He captioned the video: “Peter Obi endorses Atiku at NBA conference!”

Reacting to this, Oteh slammed Ben Bruce saying that the post goes against the #CommonSense series which the former lawmaker initiated and carried on with for years.

The former World Bank Executive added that she had assumed Bruce would be one of those encouraging an issue-based campaign and not a misinformation-based campaign.

She wrote: @benmurraybruce Doesn’t this type of headline undermine your great work including ur #commonSense series. I had assumed u would be 1 of those encouraging a campaign that is #issuebased campaign rather that 1 that is #misinformationbased. Hope your handle is not hacked
