2023: Obi's Camp Denies Claims Of Campaign Funds Diversion

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi on Monday said the 2023 election is not about religion or tribe.

The former Governor of Anambra State said the forthcoming electoral process is about character and competence in leadership.

Obi stated this on Monday at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference, (NBA-AGC).

The presidential candidate who stated that Nigeria is in a mess added that the country got there because of the accumulative effect of bad leadership.

Obi called for a bold transition of the country from a secured state to a highly secured state.

The presidential candidate said, “Nigeria is in a mess. We got here simply because of the accumulative effect of bad leadership. The coming election is not about tribe or religion but character and competence. We need a bold transition from a secured state to a highly secured state.”

This is coming after a crowd of lawyers received Obi at the ongoing conference with a warm welcome.

The lawyers erupted with joy the moment Obi was ushered into the event which also had in attendance the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
